The Golden Boot Strikes - 30th July

Hellenic League Golden Boot Winner, Troy Bryan, struck three times to give Ardley a well earned 3-3 draw against Zamaretto Premier League Didcot Town in tonights friendly.

First half goals came from Elliot Osborne-Ricketts and Michael Alexis, with Bryan scoring one for United. A much changed "Railwaymen" second half side added to their tally on 55 minutes through Alex Stanley. Bryan got the game back to honours even in the last 10 minutes with two fine strikes.

An excellent game to watch for both sets of supporters, a match which could have gone either way in the dying minutes. Many Didcot Town followers paid tribute to Ardley United Football club after the match. One person made the comment. "I always used to like going to Ardley when we were in the Hellenic League. It was always a good standard of football and we were always made very welcome at the club. It's nice to see nothing has changed".

It Starts Again - 19th July

After what seems a blank few months, despite the "triumphs" of Englands World Cup campaign, it's back to what we all like best tomorrow night as Ardley start the pre-season preparation with 90 minutes against Zamaretto League Abingdon United.

It's a new, but familiar face, at the helm of Abingdon. Richie Bourne, who's Wantage team has locked horns with Ardley many times in the past, took over the Abingdon side in mid May. Kick off 7.30pm
