With Witney United completing their season last night with a draw, a win against Flackwell Heath at home tomorrow will move Ardley into 6th place for the 2009/10 season. |
Five Wins in One Week -25th April
Following on from Mondays demolition of Marlow United, Ardley win 2-1 against Binfield on Thursday night. Followed yesterday by a win at Carterton, where Jordan Ayris scored the only goal of the game. . . .more

Games This Week - 11th April
Plenty of action at Oxford Road this week with three home games. On Tuesday night Fairford Town open the proceedings, then on Thursday 15th it's the Bluefin Insurance Hellenic League Cup semi-final against Abingdon Town, both games kick off at 7.30 pm. Saturday 15th April brings high flying Shortwood United to the ground with a 3pm start.

Games This Week - 22nd March
A busy schedule this week with three games for the first team. Tomorrow night it's a trip to The Foxhunters for a local derby, the corresponding game saw United win 4-1 at Oxford Road, but Bicester are riding on a 3-1 win against promotion hopefuls Wantage Town on Saturday and will be looking to continue the form.
On Thurday night (25th - 7.30 KO) it's The 'Bluefin' - Insurance Brokers Challenge Cup Quarter Final at home against League leaders Reading Town. A home win will continue Ardley's chance of gaining silverware this season, but it's not going to be an easy game. A result on the night is required so it will be extra time then penalties if a drawn scoreline.
Saturday 27th is the first ever League game between Binfield and Ardley. It's a 3pm kick off at "The Moles" Hill Farm ground. For the travelling supporters who have not visited Binfield before, the advice is leave plenty of time to locate the ground, it's not the easiest to find. The Ressies are in action twice this week hosting local rivals Kidlington at Oxford Road tomorrow night (23rd - 7.30 KO), and a mirror fixture against Binfield Reserves at home on Saturday.

Will United Turn The Blankets? - 18th March
 United will be at the Polythene UK Stadium on Saturday hoping to get a result against Witney. Over the past three seasons the sides have met on eight previous ocassions in League and Cup competition. At the moment it's honours even, United winning three, Witney three, and two drawn games. Both clubs have won five and lost three in league competition since the start of the New Year, with the Blanketmen logging three drawn fixtures against United's one. For spectators it should be a cracking game to take in, kick off 3pm.

 Double First At Oxford! - 18th March
Ardley scored three to complete the double over Oxford City Nomads this season. A 3-0 victory in November was emulated with a 3-1 victory at Court Farm Place last night, with goals from 17 year old Jordan Ayris, club leading scorer Troy Bryan, and a 90th minute own goal. . .match report to follow. |

Having suffered a 2-1 defeat away the Kidlington in December, Ardley returned the compliment at home in this local derby fixture with a 2-0 victory over Kiddy yesterday. Danny Mason and Troy Bryan hit the only goals of the game in the first half. . . .more

North Oxfords "Old Firm" - 11th March
 Saturdays fixture brings Kidlington to The Recreation Ground for one of the" Derby" games which supporters of both clubs look forward to. Kiddy sit 12 points in front of United in the league, having played six more games. The Yarnton Road side halted a run of four losses, conceding 18 goals, with a win at Malmesbury mid week. With Kidlington winning the corresponding fixture in December, both sides will be seeking to gain local bragging rights for this fixture. Kick off 3pm, not a game to miss.

Back To Winning Ways - 11th March
United got back to winning ways scoring three without reply at Hook Norton last night. Goals from Harry Brock (35 minutes) and Troy Bryan( 68 minutes) were supported by a 40th minute Adam Garner penalty. . . . . .more

Heathens On Saturday - 4th March
With a 1-4 loss midweek against league leaders Reading Town, Ardley will be looking to make restitution this weekend when Flackwell Heath visit. The Heathens currently sit three places above United in the table and took the points with a 4-1 victory at their place in September. So it will be a tough nut to crack, but Ardley are more than capable of doing so. Looks to be a good game in the offing for the spectators.

Postponed Games - 1st March
With Saturday's first team game at Marlow United postponed, falling foul to the weather. Next Saturday's home fixture against Flackwell Heath has also now been re-scheduled for May 1st as Flackwell have been allocated a County Cup fixture.
Hopefully the elements will be with us and tomorrow nights fixture against league leaders Reading Town at The Recreation ground will take place. - Kick off 7.30pm.
The Reserves game against Carterton also did not take place on Saturday, this fixture will also have to be re-scheduled.
